Well another day closer to Christmas

Yes, it is getting close to Christmas again. This year there is magic in my home. You see I have children in this house. Nothing like watching those eyes light up when they see what Santa has given them. Or having young ladies (Grand Daughters) to help with the Christmas baking. Or young men (Grand Sons) that eat that baking almost before it is out of the oven. Right now in Vegas it is cold, about 48 degrees and very windy about 35 mph and the house is warm, the Christmas videos have begun, tonight is Santa Clause and the Three Bears. This is where my Grand daughter Nacomi got her name. Tomorrow the Ranklin and Bass series. Every thing is good and and we are so blessed to have one another.

Above is a cut out. It has 24 pieces that can be used for the Christmas count down. On the 24th is when the baby Jesus is placed. This is what I am using for the kids this year. Santa is cool and the videos and the Tree and everything else Christmas, but they must remember that Christmas is spelled CHRISTmas.

I will get off my soap box now. Only 50 more days until the new American Idol starts. My class rooms are so excited to be using this as a teaching aid. I explained how I did it in CA and they are really looking forward to getting their 2 cent worth in.

I only have 3 more things to get and my Christmas shopping with be done. YEAH! Black Friday was a big PITA. So many people and so little room.

PS3

I am not sure how we did it, but we did. We walked into Wal-Mart today and an employee was walking back to electronics with a Playstation 3, I looked at him as we were walking by and said "I want that" and he said "Well then it is you's". $650.00 later we were walking out of Wal-Mart with a PS3 and armed security on Black Firday. I have the happiest kid in the world. What is with that? I never have that kind of luck. From what I understood, it had been returned to the store by someone that couldn't afford it (not that I could). Now I am a hero! It is not often that you get to be a hero.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was quite and nice and yummy. We will be having leftovers for dinner tonight. One of the few times I really don't mind leftovers. We put out a few of the Christmas decorations after we got home, so tonight it will be yummy dinner and pie and a couple of Christmas movies. That is if I can pry her away from the PS3. Before we got to Wal-Mart we went to the post office for stamps and to mail off the care package to my Grandson Nathan, we sent him socks, cookies, candy, a hand held game and many other things that will be useful to a corpsman in the Navy. Because he is over seas it could take up to 3 weeks for him to get it. May the Lord keep him safe!

Today

This is another Grandson Chance. He is a pistol. His parents were called to the school because Chance had told his Teacher that his parents were trying to poison him..After much discussion with the principal it was discovered that Chance was talking about the green beans that he was made to eat the night before. Oh, the stories I could tell you about this one. I think he will be my topic tomorrow for Thursday Thirteen.

What a face, what a little love. This child walked at 9 months old. From that point on he ran and got into most everything. This is Seth Patrick

A horrible Story

Well, here we are just watching it rain...HO-Hum..Let's start with the story of a young girl, she had so many dreams. The only one that came true is the one about children. Three boys, wow! What a blessing.
Drugs was the killer of the first marriage, he was so handsome and had everything going for him. Over the years drugs took there toll and he became so obsessed with them that they took over his very soul. When his drugs almost killed her first son it was time to leave. Only by this point she was again, with child, another son.
Her mother introduced one of her co-workers to this young single mother and before she knew what hit her, she was married again. Now with the third son on the way, she had no way out. You see in the seventies raising 3 sons as a single mother would have been impossible. The young woman chose to stay in a lovless relationship for the sake of her little brood. She loved them all so very much. Even though there was a father in the house he was so busy with pipe dreams and watching television that he forgot about the young woman and the three little boys that were growing up around him. This man became more and more bitter with the passing of each pipe dream. You see he expected someone to hand him his dream, he had no idea that he needed to work for it.

The young woman went to College and after a few certs., a Bacholers in Music an Associates in Fire Technology/communications and several more classes she found herself working for Barstow Fire Dept. and Barstow Police Dept. also part time for Barstow Sheriff's Dept.. It took a few jobs to raise young men. Her husband who was still sitting at home accused her of being unfaithful, her heart broke. Only one of many broken hearts this man inflicted on this woman. To list would be long and boring, to most reading this. Or maybe someday I will list them, it might be therapeutic.

In chapter. 2 you should know that the young woman is me several years ago. The years past and the children grew, they are at this point very productive young men. As the youngest turned 18 and left home, I also left. I started my own life as a single adult. Wow!! I didn't know that there really was life out there. I enjoyed every single moment of it. Don't get me wrong, I didn't turn into a wild child but I enjoyed life. I learned how to dance and became pretty good at it. Life had landed me in Lake Tahoe and before I knew it I was teaching dance on PBS television in Carson City, it was so much fun, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
All of a sudden I became a grandmother, WOW, what a joy and blessing. You would kill for your children, but you would die for your grandchildren.

Grandchildren, God's gift to us for not eating our own at birth,,,

My only hope for my grandchildren is that the all love themselves and are happy in what the choose for themselves.
I met a man that I thought I could be happy with, we moved in together. As time passed I began to see that he needed control of everyone in his life, myself included. By this time I was in so deep that leaving was almost impossible, until a beautiful spring day. I had notice my oldest grand daughter was crying. I went to her room to see what was wrong, before the words left my lips I knew what answer I would be hearing. This man even felt he needed to control all of her. There was only one thing that could be done and that was to report him. I did! Hard?,,,yes,,,need to be done? Oh yes. In June he will be meeting his fate in court, 14 counts of molestation on a child under the age of 14 and in NV. Nevada is death on that kind of business.
It took everything I had not to just kill him. Things needed to be done but in the right way.
I wish I could begin to tell you the total rage I felt. The hate, discuss, horror, anger. He is the lowest of all things. He will get his, by the hand of God, who says WOE to those who hurt a child.
I was baby-sitting at the time and had other children to protect from this fiend. Then the hard part came I had to tell my son, fortunately the pervert was already off to jail at that time.
Everybody has had time to heal and recover, but this is something that my grand daughter will carry the rest of her life, she needs to know that she is loved and that none of this was her fault.

Now all settled and raising an 12 year old Grand Daughter, I find myself teaching vocals in a So. Ca high school. I do really enjoy this much more than the Fire Dept. or the Police Dept. Teaching dance was fun and it did pay the bills, but not near as well as what I am doing now. I have to say that life is pretty good.

As for the pervert, I didn't have to go and testifiy at his court hearing. He did the right thing for once in his life and pleaded guilty..What a guy! NOT

There are days that one just feels like this. This is one of those days! The brakes went out in my car $157.50...Acting Classes $75.00. A trip to the market $119.79. Gas for a 55 chevy wagon $49.00. Gas for a 89 Nissan Sentra $29.00. Clothes for the kid $278.12. Lunch for the both of us $10.79. Cat food, litter, and a cat toy $32.52.

Heat, knats, flys, traffic, humidity=Bummer
The kids face=worth every bit of it.

Taking the lap top, kid, clothes, 55 wagon, boogie boards, more money and going to Newport for the weekend. Last weekend was tuff. We had a community play that the kid was in. She did so well, I was impressed. An Talent agent left his card to sign her. Maybe she will get rich and famous and support me. Just kidding, but he is a known talent agent and we will see what he has to say..She has an appointment with him next Tuesday.

Anyway, that picture is what some days feel like and this is that day.

Red Hair, what a bummer.........The things that I was called in school..Carrot Gobs, Rather be dead than red in the head. Beat like a red headed step-child. you name it. I was called it. My son took this picture outside of his apartment, then jazzed it up a bit.

Well, I missed the thursday 13 post, I will get it next week.

I don't have to testify next week, the creep pleded guilty. That took me off the hook and I don't have to drive to Vegas and talk about his mis-deeds yeah!!!!!!!!

Going to have ribs and all the fixing's for Father's Day, that will be yummy! Of course, there will be a water fight at some point during the day.

Lost my train of thought as I had to go clean up messes from kids. I forgot about kid messes. There is nothing like them for making a mess that you will never get the stain out.

Oh, another thing, the sound of cartoons, instead of big people TV. The whole world can be in a terrible state and cartoons just keep on playing no matter what. I have learned the complete works of the Wiggles, I can sing any of their songs by heart now. What is bad is when one of those songs stays in your head while you are out in the world and you just keep humming it everywhere you go. The worst one for me is Dorothy's Lovely Rosie Tea. I was humming this song at school one day and one of the students busted me on it. They all had a good laugh. The picture above is why I have these songs in my head:::::::: Oh yes, resistance is futile and you will comply

Happy Memorial Day, I sure miss Savannah, I can't wait for her return. Let me see, today was just boring. Not this morning, went to the beach and took my 11 months old grandson for a walk, that was cool. He was fun today, not too fussy, in another year he will be more fun to take on walks.

Didn't have to work today, that was great! I needed that time off. Ahhh! time off, shouldn't complain, 1 more week and I get three months off. Oh oh I remember my great fun today, a trip to Wal-mart, what a joy! NOT. Everybody in LA forgot their chips and dip and soda for today. That really sucked. Reminder to myself, never, never go to Wal-mart on Memorial Day, ever, ever again.

Well this is what Newport Beach looked like this morning, it got sunny later in the day, but it was a great day for a walk on the beach. I do my best thinking there.

Oh what a wonderful morning! I might have to go to Vegas in a couple weeks, but that is ok, need to pick up Savannah and visit my sons. I will enjoy that part.

Today belongs to my cat, she needs things, off to Petco to get them. Cat food, litter, treats, and she told me not to forget her new toy. What a little PITA that little cat is. Oh well, we love her.

Just sitting here this morning not doing anything important and it feels really good. Just 2 more weeks and school is out for the summer,,yeah!!!!

Have to pick up Mom and take her shopping, boy am I getting tired of doing this, but then I think that there will be a time when I can't do it for her and that thought makes me sad. Not ready to be an orphan yet, maybe I never will be ready for that.

Savannah will be here in 2 weeks, I have so many plans of things she and I can do together. One thing for sure is to get her into a singing program, also dance. Last time she was here she was singing when she didn't think anyone could hear her. She was singing Landslide. She has a lot of talent, I just need to get her to sing with her diaphram and not through her nose. That will be easy!

Savannah Rose, we will go to the beach and to Disneyland we will have such a busy summer, then come September, it will be back to business. I have to find out what school you will be going to. What their programs might be.

Anyway, I must start the day!
Savannah and me, just a couple more weeks and she will be here forever!
